Our Toronto trip was excellent this past weekend. We parked at and took the GO Train from Clarkson Station in Mississauga on Friday night into Toronto. Very convenient! While there, we went to the St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, a Maple Leafs game @ the ACC, Wayne Gretzky's Restaurant, and The Second City. Our hotel, the Strathcona, was also conveniently located in the heart of the financial district...which made it very easy to walk to all of our destinations.
My sister, Cam, and I had a great time! It went by quickly though, as all great tips seem to do.
This week is back to work and school. Preparing for surgery in less than 2 weeks now. On Saturday night we will be going to the Pearl St Grill with some friends for dinner and St. Paddy's day celebrations. That should be alot of fun! :)
We are setting up some more houses to check out this weekend, and we have an open house at our place on Sunday afternoon. So we'll be spending some time getting ready for that as well.
I have to fill out my application for the Student Research & Creativity celebration, which I will be presenting at on Saturday, May 2nd. My studies with refugee families and education will be presented on a poster board and I will stand next to it all day and have conversations with people that are interested in my work. It looks very good on a resume to be a part of this, and I'm glad I will be! It's very exciting.
That's all for now, folks!
